Viberg for Withered Fig Mocha Light Oil Tan Country Boot in 1035 Last and Ridgeway Sole. With a streamlined dark brown overtone, some small details such as the smaller eyelets and self-tongue give this a slight dressy edge while still being a casual boot. This is the first make-up from Viberg using this Seidel Mocha Light Oil Tan leather, which has a matte-like appearance and a suede-like feel. While we have yet to see how this ages, Viberg claims this leather should patina nicely with wear. We’re excited to see how this one ages going forward.
The Country Boot style is based off of traditional British hunting boots, with a slightly taller shaft than Viberg's standard Service Boot. Call it a hunter-style boot, or something you'd wear in the country-side, whatever your stance is, we're open to it. The point is, this boot should add some versatility to your lineup if all you've got are standard service boots.
Sizing: Our experience with the Country Boot is that it runs similar to the 2030 or 1035 Service Boots, and you should take the same size as you would in a well fitted 2030/1035 Last Service Boot. The Country Boot style does have the feeling of being a bit larger/longer than the Service Boot style, but most people should not size down just because of that. We would say a small percentage of folks who currently only take 1/2 down from Brannock and desire a slightly snugger fit, could go down 1/2 size for a full 1 size down from Brannock. This should give you a slightly snugger fit.
